Dr. Travis Giese is a proud North Dakota native, born in Bismarck and raised in the small town of Carson. After graduating as salutatorian from Carson High School, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Dr. Giese received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. During his time in dental school, Dr. Giese was awarded the Leadership Award from the International College of Dentists and received multiple scholarships recognizing both academic excellence and community service. He was also actively involved in several outreach initiatives, helping expand access to dental care in underserved communities.

Dr. Giese continued his training by completing a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, where he gained advanced clinical expertise in treating children of all ages and those with special healthcare needs. His passion for working with kids and his calm, friendly approach make him a favorite among patients and parents alike.

As a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Giese is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care. He is a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, an honor awarded to top graduates in dental education.

In addition to his work in Prairie Rose, Dr. Giese believes strongly in giving back to the community. He regularly donates his time and expertise to events like Mission of Mercy and Dentists with Heart (sponsored by Prairie Rose Family Dentists), which provide free dental care to individuals and families facing financial hardship in the Bismarck Mandan region. His dedication to service reflects his belief that everyone deserves access to quality dental care—especially children.

Dr. Giese sees patients at our North Bismarck office on Calgary Avenue, where he focuses on helping kids build healthy habits that last a lifetime. From the moment your child walks through the door, they’re welcomed into a fun, ocean-themed environment designed to make dental visits feel calm, engaging, and completely stress-free.

Outside the office, Dr. Giese enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and enjoying everything the outdoor life North Dakota has to offer. He and his wife, Gerri, are the proud parents of two daughters.
